Jason Momoa gave a statement in favor of Superman aka Henry Cavill

In 2013 Henry Cavill wore the most iconic cape and tights in comic book history

When he made his debut as Superman in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel

It was a grand start for a new franchise the DC Cinematic Universe, a worthy competitor to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

What a grand start for a new franchise. Snyder had a singular vision for a series of films that would lead up to the Justice League crossover film to rival The Avengers

But in the years since that plan has fallen to pieces

And this week it was announced that Cavill would not be reprising the role of Clark Kent after a meeting with new DC Films head James Gunn.

Meanwhile not only fans of Superman aka Henry Cavill were trapped but some celebrities also gave their statement in favor of Cavill.

Among them was Aquaman star Jason Momoa who wrote Love you brother adding a series of heart emoji

Shazam! star Zachary Levi who commented Hope you catch up in the other universe sir. Paul Bullion who starred alongside Cavill in Netflix's The Witcher wrote Sorry Henry.

Cavill's fellow Enola Holmes star Sam Claflin comic book writer Tony Daniels and the artist known as Boss Logic were among those to extend their well wishes.
